Too many young people are stuck without skills, without jobs, and without direction.

Rejected by employers and lacking opportunities, many are pushed towards poverty — and in some cases, crime — not by choice, but by circumstance.

Youth Futures Programme is here to change that.

We equip young people with real skills, clear pathways, and direct access to employment — turning uncertainty into opportunity, and potential into progress.

Skills Gateway CIC’s mission is about community empowerment, turning aspiration into achievement, and creating role models and opportunities where they matter most.

We work in partnership with:

• Schools and academies
• Further and higher education providers
• Training organisations
• Employers and apprenticeship providers
• Our approach is student-centred, inclusive, and outcomes focused

Youth unemployment remains high, and communities like Bradford, Armley, Bramley and New Wortley face significant social and economic pressures. Without intervention, too many young people are locked out of opportunity.

This programme will transform lives by building skills, confidence and connections for young people at a critical stage of their lives. By focusing on both practical employment preparation and personal development, we’re giving them the tools to succeed — socially, emotionally and economically.

What We Offer:

1. Life & Employability Skills Workshops — resilience, goal setting, communication, teamwork
2. Self-Care & Wellbeing Sessions — mental health, confidence, stress management
3. AI & Digital Literacy Classes — practical tech skills for the job market
4. Career Pathway Support:

a) Tailored career guidance

• One-to-one and small-group careers guidance
• Identification of strengths, interests, and realistic progression routes

b) CV writing & interview workshops

c) Work experience and apprenticeship navigation

• Mentoring Service — one-to-one support from trained mentors
• Local Employer & Education Partnerships — connecting young people with real opportunities)  Placement for work experience with employers) 

          5. Employability and digital skills training

Who We Support

• Students aged 16–18
• Learners struggling academically or disengaged from traditional pathways
• Students at risk of becoming NEET
• Young people who would benefit from non-traditional, flexible progression routes
